    Join the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce as we kick-off our celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month with the 3rd Annual Diez y Seis de Septiembre Community Festival and Mercado!  Enjoy Local and International Vendors, Food Trucks, an El Grito Competition, Live Entertainment Stage, and More!  This event is FREE and open to the public!

    Join us as we read all about Mark the Shark in Shark Bite by Little Bee Books (illustrated by Beatrice Costamagna) and then create our own silly sea creature using a variety of materials. This Program is for children ages 2-K5 (preschool) accompanied by an adult helper. RSVPs and payment two business days in advance are required.     “The Food Bank Chefs' Showdown� challenges chefs to turn ordinary ingredients into extraordinary dishes. Chefs compete to create nutritious, delicious meals from random ingredients commonly found in the Pantry Boxes delivered by the Food Bank. Guest foodies will delight in tasting samples from over 30 local chefs and eateries. Vote for your favorites by filling their tip jars. $1 = 1 point. Chefs with the most points will face off in live “Chopped�-style cook offs to determine “The Food Bank Chef of the Year�. Music, raffles, live cooking demonstrations.
